Dear Friends,
I am very excited to announce that the new A.S.I.S website is now up and running. With just about 630 files and 120 pages, it is now more informative, more interactive and easier to navigate.
To easily see all the pages that are available, I suggest to check out the site-map, which lists all of the website's pages.
The most exciting new feature is the members’ area and the new ASIS virtual community Message Board, where members and groups in Suffolk County can interact with each other online. Going to an Al-Anon convention and looking for a roommate? This is the place. Car-pool to remote assemblies or workshops? Look for partners here. Need a meeting on wheels? This is a place to discuss and post questions, exchange views and information, look for volunteers, speakers, sponsors, etc. You may join as a group or as individual members.
To join, please link to: http://groups.google.com/group/al-anon-suffolk-ny. or follow the instruction posted on our Message Board page
Groups can now join the e-mail mailing list to receive updates from the A.S.I.S by e-mail. These features make it easier for groups & members to stay in touch. To join - simply send me an e-mail.
The website also includes features such as a Calendar page for all upcoming events. The MAP feature enables members to find where a meeting is located and get directions. The Meeting List pages for finding a meeting by location or by a specific day and time. A Help Wanted section, Alateens, Information to Newcomers, Program Tools, FAQ, about ASIS and its various offices, Al-Anon history and pictures of Al-Anon co-founders, CAL page, Announcements and more.
Documents and Forms such as groups’ mailing lists, guidelines, forms and other information is also available on the website for download. The Al-Anews and the meeting list are available on the website. In addition the website ia also accessible on hand held devices.
I hope you will find the website a useful tool in your recovery by keeping in touch and staying informed.
