Have you wondered if it is okay to publish stories of personal recovery in Al-Anon publications that are not conference approved and Al-Anon related websites?
The answer is, "Yes!"
The Suffolk Al-Anon website invites you to answer the call of the World Service Office, and use your talent and writing skills to help carry the Al-Anon message of recovery to readers who are still suffering from someone else's drinking.
The Suffolk Al-Anon website gets visits from many potential members each day. What a better way to practice this principal of the hand of Al-Anon and Alateen reaching out for help then on the internet?
WE WANT TO PUBLISH YOUR STORY
The Suffolk Al-Anon website is pursuing yet another new project.
Similar to member's sharing on the forum magazine, we want you to share your experience strength and hope on a verity of topics. These sharing of stories by our very own members of Suffolk County will be added to our website.
So I invite you to share your experience strength and hope in writing, on a particular topic, step, tradition, slogan or just tell your story. It can be as short or as long as you like. You may also write on more then one topic. We will post it as/is with the exception of omitting identifying information to protect your anonymity and the anonymity of others. So please do not include names, locations, or any other distinct identifying information.
Please apply the principles of Al-Anon in your recovery writing-especially anonymity and confidentiality.
Please check out our list of suggested topics.
