The April Assembly, was held on Sunday, April 6th in Rockaway Beach (District 14) hosting the day.
Meeting opened with Serenity Prayer and Traditions and page of the day from CTC being
read.
Minutes from Feb. .Assembly corrected and accepted.
65 Group Reps, present and 23 visitors.
Chairman addressed Agenda for day.
1. New web site Coordinator voted on. Charmaine from Suffolk Co, 65 yes.
2. Motion to develop members web site , after discussion vote taken 59 yes, 6 opposed. Motion passed.
3. Revisions to Southern New York Assembly Area Guidelines discussed.
4. Discussion of the Al-Anon members involved in Alateen, safety and Behavioral Requirements discussed.
The 2 discussions will go to the next Assembly in June. Hopefully for a vote after a second discussion.

Delegate; Theme for 2008 Conference being held this week in Stanford, Ct Build Bridges-Energizing our Spiritual Quest.
1. Do we use our theme during the year? Asked by WSO to Delegate.
2. Chosen Agenda Item submitted by our Area "Is there a possibility of developing guidelines to support Adult Children Beginner Meetings?
3. The Delegate will be contacting each District Representative to visit at one of your District Meetings.
4. Alateen Coordinator position still available, it is a most important position in our area. Requirements are. Past or present GR, sponsoring or have sponsored an Alateen Group , most important a certified Alateen sponsor. Please contact the Delegate. The position is now split in half. The AAPP (area Alateen process person) takes care of all the paper work and at present that position is filled.)
5. Introductory meetings are now listed in our service manual (pg. 78) It is very helpful for those engaged in Public Outreach and or institution meetings.
6. It is not too late to sign up for International Convention: "Connecting people around the world" which is being held in Pittsburgh, Pa. July 4-6h. Flyers sent to groups. Registration may be done online. There will be a "Language of Love Parade" on Friday, July 4th (see page 24 on the March Forum .Alternate Delegates Report: Our Alternate Delegate is ready and willing to attend groups all over NYS and give Group Inventory which is so helpful in solving a little disharmony in our home group.
No Treasury Report given until the June Assembly.
